Confidence in your idea and hard work to achieve it. Even if you are not called Mark Zuckerberg. This is the story of Gianluca Mauro, 24, Energy Engineering graduate at Tor Vergata after a term as Erasmus student at the University of Ghent, Belgium. He came back with an idea that has meanwhile become his business: an app that measures students’ energy habits. Andrei Constantin Neag, a telcom engineer, is the app co-founder and met Mauro at the University of Ghent.
From the beginning of next academic year GreenItApp will be installed in student residences in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Once its functions on this pilot market are improved, they will focus on Northern Europe and analyse all changes needed to adapt the app to warmer countries such as Italy.
