Description and Teaching Objectives
This Degree aims at providing students with solid cultural basic education in Sports Science and hence with the tools needed to design and manage sports activities for able-bodied and disabled people.
Such education system conveys specific skills and knowledge: theoretical, methodological and technical basics of training in different sports; methods and techniques for athletes’ functional assessment, particularly focusing on health protection against doping risks; institutional frameworks for sports activities; basic scientific subjects linking and differentiating applied techniques; historical evolution of sports culture and techniques; economic and institutional frameworks affecting sports activities.
Career Opportunities
This programme trains highly qualified professionals who can operate in the world of sports with full autonomy covering responsibility positions with respect to individuals and the community.
Graduates can work in the field of competitive sports as coaches, physical and methodological trainers, personal trainers for leisure sports activities, trainers in fitness disciplines within facilities where tailored physical programmes are planned.
