A project of late night and Sunday openings of the libraries has started on Monday 6, June.

More specifically, libraries will be opened from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 10.30pm and on Sunday from 10.00am to 8.00pm. As you may already know, many Schools open their reading rooms on Saturday.

This project takes place on an experimental basis lasting from 6 June to 15 July, involving libraries of the Schools of Economics, Humanities and Philosophy and the School of Law. Starting 15 September, the libraries of the School of Medicine and Surgery and of the School of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences will abide by the aforementioned opening hours.

The following services will be available at the libraries during those hours: open-shelf material consultancy, IT services and the self-service copy machine.

Moreover, the shuttle service will be boosted as follows:

  • A return trip from Monday to Friday, 9.00pm to 10.30pm with departure from the School of Economics towards the School of Humanities and Philosophy, and the School of Law, reaching the end of line at metro A Anagnina (2 departures).
  • On Sunday:
  1. Departure from the terminus metro A Anagnina at 9.30am, destination the School of Law, then the School of Humanities and Philosophy, reaching the end of line at the School of Economics (2 departures, the second one departing presumably at 10.10 from Anagnina)
  2. Departure from the terminus metro A Anagnina at 1.30 pm, destination the School of Law, then the School of Humanities and Philosophy, reaching the end of line at the School of Economics (2 departures, the second one departing presumably at 1.40 pm from Anagnina)
  3. Departure from the School of Economics at 7.30 pm with destination to the terminus metro A Anagnina, transiting through the School of Law and the School of Humanities and Philosophy
