The University of Tor Vergata participates to an exchange programme with 8 European Universities and 11 Universitities in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Nepal, Butan and Thailand, in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Programme (EMECW), supported and financed by the European Commission.
The project, coordinated by the University of Aalborg (Denmark) is called "MOBILITY FOR LIFE". Through Mobility for Life, students, researchers and academic staff are given the opportunity to study or work in one of the partner universities in Asia or Europe.
The main goal of Mobility for Life lies in the cross-fertilization and exchange of teaching and research experience which can become a platform for continued and extended collaboration in the future between Asia and Europe. While also including bachelor mobility, the project focuses on Masters, PhD., postdoc and staff mobility as part of the strategic development of the specified masters and research programs in Asia.
Mobility for life offers grants from 1000 Euros to 1800 Euros to Master students, Phd students, post-doc and staff to spend a period from 6 to 34 months of study/research in one of the Partner Institutions.
Mobility for Life focuses on a number of specific thematic areas: students who wish to spend a period of study/research in the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (Italy) may apply for: Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Telecommunications and Wireless Technologies.
Annual call for proposals are published in the official web site http://www.erasmus.mobilityforlife.aau.dk/
Mobility must start on the 1st of September at the latest.
