Giovedì 30 maggio 2019, alle ore 15:30 nell’ auletta della Biblioteca d’Area giuridica (Via Cracovia, 50) Tania Patriota, consulente indipendente per le Nazioni Unite ed ex vice rappresentante speciale nella missione dell'ONU in Colombia e Antonio Zubillaga, consigliere politico presso la delegazione europea in Malawi ed ex funzionario legale senior nella missione dell'ONU in Colombia, terranno una conferenza, nell’ambito del Dottorato in Diritto pubblico, sul tema "PACE E GIUSTIZIA IN COLOMBIA: UN PUNTO DI SVOLTA STORICO E LE SUE SFIDE”.
Il 26 settembre 2017, la Missione di verifica delle Nazioni Unite in Colombia ha iniziato le sue attività in seguito ad una richiesta congiunta di sostegno delle Nazioni Unite da parte del governo della Colombia e delle Forze armate rivoluzionarie della Colombia-Esercito popolare (FARC -EP).
Scopo della missione è quello di accompagnare le parti e verificare i loro impegni in merito all’esecuzione dell'accordo finale di pace tra esse concordate.
La conferenza, sul delicato tema dell’attuazione dell’accordo con particolare riferimento al capitolo relativo al “sistema per la verità, la giustizia, la riparazione e la non ripetizione”, si svolgerà in collegamento via skype con Ivan Martinez, professore a contratto presso l’università Javeriana di Cali (Colombia), dottore di ricerca in Diritto pubblico dell’Università di Roma “Tor Vergata”.
