Information for international students on stay permit renewal
The application for the Stay Permit renewal has to be submitted at least 60 days before the expiry date of the current “Permesso di Soggiorno”.
To renew it, the student must take the kit for the residency permit application, which is available at post offices. The Welcome Office provides applicants with assistance in filling in the application form and offers guidance on the subsequent steps of the process, ensuring a smooth and efficient procedure.
Once the application form is fully completed, the student has to deliver it to a post office along with:
- a copy of each passport’s page;
- a copy of the health insurance (either the SSN or a private insurance);
- a copy of the expiring/expired Stay Permit;
- a copy of the certificate stating the registration to the new Academic Year and the exams passed in the previous one (available on the personal page of Delphi)
- a copy of the Fiscal Code;
- 1 Revenue Stamp (Marca da Bollo) € 16. You can buy it in the tobacco shop;
