Starting from December 1st every day advice, Tor Vergata's Sustainable Development office will publish suggestions and tips for a sustainable Christmas.
This Christmas 2021, the Tor Vergata Sustainable Development Office is launching a new awareness campaign for the university community.
Starting from Wednesday 1 December, curiosities, information, suggestions and best practices for a sustainable lifestyle to be implemented during the Christmas period will be published every day on the Facebook page and on the office website.
Each published topic will serve as a starting point to raise attention to social, environmental and economic topics: from classic traditions such as the decoration of the Christmas tree, to the gift of the "Christmas Star" and the inevitable panettone (the iconic Italian Christmas cake).
In the past weeks the Sustainable Development office of Tor Vergata has been contacting local activities and associations in order to achieve the founding objectives of the third University mission.
All the initiatives of a solidarity nature that will take place in the Tor Vergata area will be reported on social media and on the website.
Food and clothing collections, donations, special events: these are just some of the activities that will take place throughout the approach to Christmas, and which will be enhanced through disclosure on the University communication channels.
Further reports will focus on national initiatives, reporting some activities of non-profit organizations and non-profit organizations operating throughout Italy.
This will be a different Christmas in which our students, staff and teachers of #unitorvergata will have an extra opportunity to take action in the area where their university is located, and to play a leading role in a more sustainable Christmas.
