Programme Objectives and Description
The Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Development” is an international educational initiative aimed at students from Economics, Architecture, and Engineering. Its goal is to build strategic skills in cultural tourism and heritage-based territorial development.
Participants will work on real-world case studies focused on the adaptive reuse of heritage sites in urban and peri-urban areas, with a special focus on Tivoli (Rome), a historic city with great tourism potential.

Blended learning model
Online (15–19 September):
Live lectures with professors from Tor Vergata, TU Wien, and Krakow University of Economics. Students will be introduced to the main tools for assessing the tourism and cultural value of local areas.
On-site (22–26 September) – University of Rome Tor Vergata:
Expected Outcomes
Cross-disciplinary skills:
Integrated approach to cultural and urban regeneration projects.
Technical knowledge:
Real estate valuation, market analysis, funding tools for heritage-based development.
Professional development:
Ability to design sustainable tourism strategies and communicate findings effectively to public and private stakeholders.
General Information
Programme language: English
Level: First cycle / EQF-6 (Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
Credits: 3 ECTS for Economics students. For other degree programmes, credit recognition will follow each Course Council's guidelines.
