The course is in line with the indications of Presidential Decree No 328 of 2001 and is therefore aimed at establishing close concordance between students' education and technical, complex problems to be faced by graduates during their working activities.
Students are trained to deal with current issues of construction techniques from a design and implementation viewpoint; this is done thanks to specific classes addressing advanced topics. In particular, graduates are able to deal with innovative activities involving the use of advanced, innovative and experimental methods in design, project management, estimate, testing and management of structures, systems as well as innovative and complex processes for buildings and structures.
Specific learning objectives develop topics such as executive design relating to new buildings and the recovery of existing ones. This is accomplished through the integration of architectural design, innovative structural design, cutting-edge design experimentation on building materials, sophisticated plant design, knowledge of building techniques and their development, knowledge of material history in architecture and construction.
A wide selection of elective courses enables students to steer their education toward subjects on technical, design or structural issues.
