Call for participation: EAIE Conference and Exhibition 2027
Represent UNIVERSEH at EAIE Lisbon 2027!
What is the EAIE Conference and Exhibition
The EAIE (European Association for International Education) Conference and Exhibition 2027, the largest international higher education conference and exhibition in Europe, will take place from 7-10 September 2027 in Lisbon, Portugal.
The 2027 theme, Luminous Perspectives, will celebrate the diverse viewpoints, experiences and ideas that drive international higher education forward. The conference programme will bring together voices from across the global community to explore emerging trends, challenge assumptions and share practical solutions for the opportunities and complexities facing our sector. Through sessions, discussions and knowledge exchange, participants will help illuminate new ways of thinking, challenge established approaches and contribute to the future of international higher education.

Represent UNIVERSEH by Becoming a Speaker
What ideas, innovations or experiences could inspire colleagues across the globe? Share your luminous perspective and help shape a programme that celebrates diverse voices, new connections and fresh thinking.
Find the best format for your ideas
1. Panel Session
A panel session is made up of short, thought-provoking and stimulating presentations from two expert speakers in the field, followed by a discussion with the audience under the guidance of the session Chair.
2. Roundtable Session
Roundtable sessions are designed to encourage discussion, knowledge exchange and active participation. The room is arranged with round tables seating approximately seven participants per table, creating an environment where attendees can engage directly with one another and explore a topic in greater depth. Unlike presentation-led formats, roundtable sessions balance knowledge sharing with audience participation.
3. Fishbowl Session
The fishbowl format removes the traditional barriers between the speakers and audience by placing the Chair, speakers and audience in concentric circles, promoting a ‘campfire-style' relaxed atmosphere. Participants listen to the discussions with the added opportunity to join the discussion and share their own thoughts, experiences and best practices.
4. Ignite© Session
Ignite© sessions are fast-paced sessions designed to generate awareness and stimulate discussion. Each session is made up of a collection of individually proposed five-minute presentations, consisting of twenty slides which auto-advance every 15 seconds.
5. Workshop
A workshop is a focused, skills-based training activity led by two experienced facilitators. Workshops are either full-day (eight hours, including lunch and two coffee breaks) or half-day (three and a half hours with one coffee break), and are designed to deepen knowledge, build practical skills and provide tangible takeaways.
6. Poster Session
Poster sessions offer a unique opportunity to engage with and talk at length with those interested in specific innovations and research. They present original ideas, as well as new techniques or technologies being used to facilitate the internationalisation of higher education, in poster format.
