Department of Industrial Engineering
Tor Vergata School of Engineering
The Department of Industrial Engineering, formerly the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Rome Tor Vergatà, was established in 1982. It combines all the disciplinary skills typical of Industrial Engineering.
The mission of the Department is to promote the research activity and with it the development of the company on the territory, adapting the educational offer at the same time.
The activities of the Department are divided into the fields of fluid dynamics, machines, materials technology, physics, technical physics and power electronics. From the educational point of view, the Department of Industrial Engineering coordinates the three-year and specialized degrees in Mechanical and Energy Engineering, and the three-year degree in Engineering Sciences. The Department is also home to PhD courses and Masters courses.
