EUROMATH and EUROSCIENCE 2024 a full success event hosted by “Tor Vergata” for young students
12-16 th of March at Tor Vergata University of Rome
A international event with more than 500 students, and more than 120 teachers of 21 different countries who gathered at Tor Vergata University of Rome to a challenging meeting between 12-16 th of March.
This is EUROMATH & EUROSCIENCE 2024, a unique chance for young students ended on 15 March 2024 with the awards ceremony. EUROMATH & EUROSCIENCE is a International Conference organized to address mainly school students, with pupils making conference presentations in maths and sciences.
The EUROMATH conference started in 2009 with 42 international participants and has been growing since then with additions of EUROSCIENCE and more competitions for students, like MATHFactor, SCIENCEFactor, MATHeatre and SCIENCE theatre. Talking about math, here some numbers about the conference programme in 2024: 95 Math presentations by school students, 63 Science presentations by school students, 19 workshops delivered by teachers and researchers, 2 invited plenary speakers, 8 Math and 12 Science Theatre plays, 69 Math and Science Factors, 100+ Math and Science poster designs.
Programme on 13-14 March was hosted at the School of Economics of Tor Vergata University.
The “Mathematics and Science by Night” dinner dance on the 14th March for the event, was even the perfect timing to celebrate the International Day of Mathematics.
Parallel to EUROMATH & EUROSCIENCE, always at Tor Vergata University, it was held the European STEAME-Academy Symposium too, with many workshops.
The event, a unique conference for school students, was organized by the Cyprus Mathematical Society and the THALES Foundation with the support of several organizations.
