European Economy and Business Law (EEBL)’s academic programme is designed to qualify students interested in earning a master of science degree in European studies with a substantial focus on economics. Its interdisciplinary approach provides a broad view on economic, business and legal issues of international scope.
The programme aims at preparing graduates who are able to cover managerial roles within European institutions, companies, public administrations, and national and international institutions. Specialised economic, legal, statistical, business, political and historical notions are proposed as core elements.
Basic tools and interpretative models are provided so that students become acquainted with institutional systems and their relevant partners to achieve a deeper understanding of the political decision-making and regulatory processes in place.
To encourage the development of targeted problem-solving skills, students are involved in a wide range of tasks, including group work and internships. In particular, exclusive agreements have been undersigned with major institutions and international companies for curricular internships.
Active agreements include the American Embassy in Rome, American Express, Banca Etica, Capgemini, Eurosupport, the Fire Department Headquarters in Rome, Five Trade, IFAD, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in London, PLEF, and Whirlpool.
Additional opportunities are offered for qualified students through participation in the dual-degree programme with SOAS University of London.
Graduates of Economics, Political Science, Law, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or an equivalent degree may be candidates for admission to EEBL. In order to strengthen quantitative skills, the programme includes three weeks of mandatory prerequisite classes for students with no background in Economics. Such prerequisites cover the following disciplines: Mathematics, Statistics, Micro and Macro Economics.
Attention to students represents a key aspect of European Economy and Business Law. The teaching staff regularly meet students to check on their progress, and academic tutors are also available. Furthermore, the programme offers a series of additional services such as grants and scholarships, assistance finding student accommodation, Italian classes for foreign students, and orientation services.
