The Cultural Programmes provide for the planning and the implementation of activities set out in the Agreement, such as: spreading the language and culture via chairs and lectorships; expert and document exchanges in the publishing industry, in education and cultural heritage; faculty and researcher exchanges; archivist and librarian exchanges; exhibition exchanges; organising film festivals and artistic and cultural events; museum exchanges, restoration activities and archaeological missions; scholarship exchanges; radio and TV cooperation; cooperation in sports and youth exchanges.
This kind of Agreements generally requires the establishment of a joint committee with representatives of the two signatory countries. It shall meet regularly to draft multiannual programmes and examine the progress in terms of cultural cooperation in the two countries. The Programme validity may vary. It is agreed by the parties and generally covers two to four years.
