1st Level Specialising Master (English Taught) - School: Medicine
The educational program is based on the "International Federation of Orthopedics Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT)," which aims to promote excellence worldwide, in accordance with the clinical and academic standards of manual physiotherapists specialized in musculoskeletal pathologies, in conformity with the ICF-DH model (International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health).
The core of the training is the acquisition of competences in both clinical reasoning and the application of specific treatments and therapeutic exercises. These competences are obtained through the integration of different clinical approaches so that participants are able to select and apply concepts and techniques from a variety of manual therapy approaches, manipulative techniques, and therapeutic exercise, based on knowledge of clinical anatomy, some medical specialities, and other relevant basic disciplines.
Scientific and clinical evidence, along with the bio-psychosocial model of each individual patient are the main basis for planning and evaluating the therapeutic program.
The Master program is open to individuals who hold one of the following qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy in the healthcare field, as per the provisions of DM 509/99 and DM 270/2004, or an equivalent university diploma or a title that is equivalent in accordance with Article 4 of the Law dated February 26, 1999, No. 42.
Enrollment is available to students from non-European Union countries who reside in Italy and have a valid residence permit for work or study purposes. Non-EU students residing abroad must comply with relevant regulations.
A foreign qualification must be accompanied by a legally attested translation into Italian and a statement of its value issued by the Italian diplomatic missions in the country where the qualification was acquired, or by a CIMEA certificate.
The qualification must be held prior to enrolment, before the course commences.The Master's course is open to auditors as well.
