Mathematics, classics & ancient history and physics & astronomy among the best 2023 QS World University Rankings by Subject.
Once again Tor Vergata University of Rome achieves important goals on a national and international level with the latest QS Ranking by Subjects 2023, the an annual publication of university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 cover a total of 54 disciplines, grouped into five broad subject areas. The QS World University Rankings by Subject are compiled annually to help prospective students identify the leading universities in a particular subject.
Research citations, along with the results of major global surveys of employers and academics, are used to rank universities. More information about this year’s methodology is available.
Mathematics improved its position in the ranking and is now in 4th place in Italy and gains over 20 points in the world ranking reaching 106th place
The Classics & Ancient History also improved significantly its position: 5th in Italy, but with an improvement that places Tor Vergata University among the top 30 universities in the world in the field.
Finally Physics & Astronomy is also in 7th place in Italy and 144th in the world.

Our university maintains the same evaluation as last year in the other 15 subjects for which the position of Tor Vergata University of Rome remains unchanged, remaining in the highest values of the world rankings (in the various ranges from 151 to 400).

Archaeology, Economics & Econometrics, Law, Engineering - Civil & Structural, Materials Science, Pharmacy & Pharmacology, Accounting & Finance, Biological Sciences, Engineering - Chemical, Engineering - Electrical & Electronic, Medicine, Chemistry, Computer Science & Information Systems, Modern Languages, Business & Management Studies.
In terms of Broad Subject Areas, Natural Sciences are in 185th place.
