Description and Teaching Objectives
This Degree trains people with specific skills who are able to plan, lead and manage physical activities for children and adolescents, for a restart in sports or for seniors and disabled people. Such activities are adapted to individual needs and aimed at achieving, maintaining and recovering an optimal health framework, efficiency and psychophysical well-being through exercise.
Basic preparation integrates biological, psycho-pedagogical, sociological, economic and legal knowledge with basic contents of motor disciplines. Further integrative classes complete such education in order to develop practical skills and scientific knowledge, hence conveying the following competencies: functional assessment; training plans suitable for different and individualised physical activities; training schedule for specific populations.
Career Opportunities
Graduates can perform high-responsibility functions in various areas of design, implementation and management of preventive motor activities as well as individual exercises aimed at fully recovering psychophysical efficiency.
The skills acquired enable them to operate in the field of physical activities with particular emphasis on prevention (especially during developmental age) and all adapted and individualised activities (chronic diseases, particular posture) in order to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activities necessary for people’s well-being.
Possible job opportunities at national and European level include: methodological and physical trainers for disabled people practising competitive sports, trainers for non-competitive sports, talent scouts.
