Universeh WP5 Space Innovation
How experiments performed on microbial extremophiles by using the ESA-EXPOSE facility installed outside the International Space Station contributed to improve our knowledge on the limit of life and the stability of biomarkers, thus contributing to better define the habitability conditions and search for life.
A focus will be given to the BOSS (Biofilms Organisms surfing Space) and BIOMEX (BIOlogy and Mars Experiment) space experiments and how they build on the lessons learned from previous exposure experiments performed on-board the NASA Long Duration Exposure Facility or the European Retrievable Carrier
