Language: Italian
General Information
o Class: L-9 (Ministerial Decree No 270 of 2004)
o Course type: Bachelor's Degree
o Duration: 3 years
o Access type: Open with entry skills test
o School: Engineering
o Department: Industrial Engineering
o Course code: H22
This Degree offers sound basic training in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, preparing students to deepen their knowledge of Thermodynamics for energy conversion, fluid and electric machines, energy plants and systems - be it conventional, advanced or innovative.
Such training shows a predominant industrial connotation (i.e. mechanical/electrical) with significant content management. It covers industrial and environmental Thermofluid Dynamics, heat, hydraulic and electric machines, power generation systems, as well as innovative issues in terms of energy saving and optimisation.
Energy plants and their components are presented in terms of both phenomenology and design, management, maintenance and environmental interaction.
The Degree provides the skills needed to handle complex energy systems based on the use of primary sources and different energy carriers: industrial equipment, technical facilities, power stations, etc.
Graduates may design and test energy plants and systems.
They can work in: industries producing and/or selling and/or using machinery and energy plants; planning, management and optimal energy use (the Italian legislation provides for a dedicated professional figure, i.e. 'a technician responsible for energy conservation and rational energy use' in companies registering energy consumptions higher than a fixed cap).
