Information for international students coming to Tor Vergata through exchange programs.

Incoming Students - Exchange Programs

In the framework of agreements with extra European Universities, Tor Vergata has a student exchange program.


Steps for Admission

  1. The Tor Vergata International Student Mobility Office receives the list of nominated exchange students selected by the Partner Universities with name, major and e-mail address.
  2. Once nominated, the student receives from Tor Vergata instructions to preregister online at: 
    http://mobint.uniroma2.it/erasmus/applicationform  (select OVERSEAS application).
  3. The Tor Vergata International Student Mobility Office sends the Invitation Letter to the student for visa application.

Deadlines for application

  • 1st semester (exchange period from September to February): June 30
  • 2nd semester (exchange period from February - July): November 30

Visa

With the Invitation Letter, the Incoming student can apply to the Italian Consolate for the Visa and can register at https://www.universitaly.it/index.php/students/stranieri  
We suggest to ask also for the “codice fiscale”, necessary for the enrollment at the University.

What to do upon arrival

Within 8 days from your arrival you have to do the RESIDENCE PERMIT – PERMESSO DI SOGGIORNO (immigration law) at the Post Office.

Our Welcome Office will help you in filling the form for the RESIDENCE PERMIT.

In order to apply for the permesso di soggiorno students should bring with them a copy of the passport (all the pages, even the blank ones), a copy of the invitation letter and a copy of the health insurance.


How to reach the International Mobility Student Office

By bus lines (located in Anagnina and stop at via Cambridge):

  • 20 express, 506, 507, 509;
  • By Shuttle bus service.
